Day #44

Today I read another book from Stephanie Perkins, Lola and the Boy Next Door.. Some of the characters from her first novel have cameos in it and I loved that! Apparently I'm not really over that book yet and it was a little bit of shock to read their names again, but a good one, I guess. The story, though, follows different characters in San Francisco and from what I've been reading on the Internet, her upcoming third book will wrap up their story as well as that of Anna and of Isla, a girl briefly mentioned in Anna and TFK.
I probably liked the previous book better, but in general I had a good time reading this one as well. 

I really liked the talking-through-windows thing, I think it was sweet. Aaaaand now I'm fangirling again! But seriously, Lola's weirdness aside - she never wears the same outfit twice and that implies plenty of costumes and wigs - I enjoyed it a lot! Another detail that I found super cute was Cricket's writing down notes on the back of his left hand to remember things and Lola's talking to the Moon. Overall a pleasant reading, with incredibly nice touches. I'll be looking forward to her next novel in July, Isla and the Happily Ever After.

Oggi ho letto un altro libro di Stephanie Perkins. Il titolo di questo sarebbe Lola e il Ragazzo della Porta Accanto.. Alcuni personaggi del suo primo romanzo ritornano in questo come comparse, e sarà che sono fresca fresca di lettura, ma mi sono presa un colpo quando me li sono ritrovati lì, sulla pagina! Non che non sia stata una sorpresa piacevole, intendiamoci..
I protagonisti però sono differenti e la loro storia si svolge a San Francisco. Comunque, spulciando su Internet ho scoperto che l'autrice pubblicherà quest'anno un terzo libro in cui le storie di Anna, Lola e Isla - una ragazza di cui si accenna in Anna eiBF, si intrecceranno un ultima volta e si concluderanno.
Se devo dirla tutta, probabilmente ho apprezzato di più il primo libro, però in generale anche questo non è stato per niente male.
Mi sono piaciute molto le conversazioni attraverso le finestre, credo sia una cosa davvero carina e romantica. *Eeee parte ancora per la tangente con cose di questo tipo - tipico* Ora, parlando seriamente, stranezze di Lola a parte - della serie che questa ragazza non esce di casa ogni giorno senza indossare un costume o una parrucca - mi è piaciuto parecchio! Un altro dettaglio che ho adorato sono stati gli appunti che Cricket si segnava sul retro della mano sinistra per non scordarseli e le conversazioni di Lola con la Luna. Quindi si è trattato di una lettura piacevole con parecchi dettagli davvero davvero carini. Non vedo l'ora del prossimo romanzo in luglio: Isla e il Felici e Contenti.
