Today I am exhausted. This morning we were supposed to leave very early, so I didn't get much sleep. Journey brought us north, under the Southern Alpes.
After checking in at the hostel, we went for a walk to Hookers Lake, which was created by the retreat of the glacier. On the way back from the hike, it started to pour down on us and we all got soaked - the cold wind that was blowing didn't help either.
Back at the hostel, a hot sauna was awaiting me, though, so the day ended in a great way, despite the tragic afternoon.

Oggi sono esausta. Questa mattina dovevamo partire piuttosto presto, quindi non ho potuto dormire troppo a lungo. Il viaggio ci ha portati verso nord, proprio sotto le Alpi Meridionali.
Dopo aver fatto il
check-in in ostello, siamo andati a camminare fino a Hookers Lake, un
lago formato dal retrocedere del ghiacciaio. Mentre tornavamo dal lago,
ha iniziato a diluviare e ci siamo inzuppati tutti - diciamo che il
vento gelido non è stato di conforto neppure lui.Tornata in ostello, una sauna calda mi aspettava!!! Perciò la giornata si è conclusa nel migliore dei modo, nonostante il pomeriggio tragico.
