I am so tired tonight.
As I mentioned you yesterday, today I met with Jess for coffees and later visited Sabrina, Enzo, Annie and Amanda at the markets. I didn't get passion fruit cheesecake today - what a plot twist! - because there were so many new things to try! For instance, raspberry cheesecake and chocolate silk cups garnished with chocolate fondue dipped strawberry.
Nice day at the resaturant as well. Kind of busy but not excessively. If only my wrist didn't hurt this much :( I'm constantly afraid of suddenly jerking it in some way due to the pain and thus losing the grip on the dishes I'm carrying - that's a scarier scenario than you might think.
Today is fictional character Katniss Everdeen's birthday. This reminds me I know plenty of awesome people who celebrate their bithdays in May.
Will sharks, crocodiles, poisonous spiders and other deadly creatures get the best of me?

Day #91
Really quick post because tomorrow I'm meeting Jess for breakfast and I have to catch the bus at 9.
Today was good at the restaurant. We had some customers - whom I wouldn't call regular, but still, they've already been there at least once since I started working there - that looked pleased I recognized them - sounds easier than it is, by the way - and from my part, I was proud of my good visual memory.
It wasn't too busy, and probably that is one of the reasons why I felt this good. I like when everything is under control. The mood I left the place in last Saturday was long gone and forgotten, thank goodness! I'm happy and extremely relieved!
Last thing, I know I'm frail and prone to complain about physical pain, but I swear there's something wrong with my left wrist. I must be doing some wrong movements while setting and packing the restaurant. What I know for sure, is that I cannot afford to have it in this condition. On my left wrist I'm supposed to balance the third plate and that is already hard as it is for me, besides the pain is just plain annoying.

Day #90
Wow, ninety days. Can hardly believe it!
Now when at the restaurant they ask me how long I've been in Australia I'll have to check on my answer. Sometimes you do not realize how fast the time flies, for instance, if I hadn't written #90 on today's post, I'd probably have missed that I came to Brisbane three months ago.
Today was a most dull day off, but sometimes you gotta do what you gotta do; so I did my laundry, ironing and I also cleaned the floors. I said I would try harder on that and I'm sticking to my word, for now.
Also, I'm working on positive thinking as I can't afford to start this new week in the same mood I ended the last.
Wow, novanta giorni. Stento a crederci!

Day #89
I spent this much needed day off with people, as opposed to my habit of spending my spare time on books and on the Internet.
With Sabri and Paolo, I went to Westfield Carindale, a huge, and I mean HUGE, shopping mall in SE Brisbane. We had lunch in one of those conveyor belt sushi restaurant where you get the small little trays out of the belt and pay according to the color of the tray. Since I'm grossed out by raw fish I just had chicken and prawn tempura - I like my food fried - and I really enjoyed it.
Then, we were joined by Nico and Marti who have moved two weeks ago and whom I do not see quite that often now. We had a tour in the mall, had coffees, I even bought myself an early present for my birthday! A red T-shirt that says 'Bazinga!' as The Big Bang Theory Sheldon Cooper's catchphrase.
Back in Hamilton, I met with Jess at Milany Gelato. We both had one of those cups with gelato, fruit/syrup and whipped cream on top. Nice. Not a particularly healthy dinner choice I might add, but once in a while you can do that, can't you?
ps.

Day #88
That awkward moment when you realize you still have to write a blog entry and it's 20 minutes past 2AM. Sorry, I was Skyping with a friend.
Not my best day at the restaurant, I must admit. I don't know, I'm still lacking my usual energy and it bugs me to no end. I just hope that having Sunday and Monday off might be what does the trick and gets me out of this awful mood.
Gah. When did I become Moaning Myrtle?

Day #87
Just a regular day. I'm making an effort to remember to vacuum the house when I have a spare moment, so today I did that while I was waiting for the latest episode of Glee to be posted online.
Scratch that. Scratch everything I've written so far.
Tonight I had a moment as I was chatting with my sister after the end of my shift. I kind of had a meltdown and started crying out of nowhere. I miss my sisters and mum and dad and friends and I feel so silly and immature not to be even able to live by my own without feeling this way.
Gosh, I blame it on the hormones. Effing period. There I said it.
I'm just going to sleep. I'm useless tonight.
Ciclo dimmerce, oh, l'ho detto finalmente.
Vado a letto. Sono inutile questa sera.

Day #86
I do not feel like writing tonight. Ugh.
Oh well. Today I had lunch shift. It was much better and more manageable than last Sunday. I prepared some really good coffees and some terribly weak ones, which leads me to think that I've just been extremely lucky with the nice ones. Davina says that the secret is 'practice, practice, practice'.
Among the customers I had this afternoon, - wait for this - do you remember the French Conversation group that meets at the Hamilton Library every Thursday and Friday that I once ran into? Well, I waited this said group and the moderator of the conversation recognized me and remembered my name, I mean, only after I mentioned that I learned French at school and that I knew there meetings at the library. But still, impressive and awfully awkward.
I had a lovely evening at Karen's. We enjoyed gnocchi of course, Karen has become quite a masterchef with them since we're having them any other week, but most of all I am pleased to say - even though I had very little doubt about it - that they loved the pastries just as well as I do.
Later, with the girls, we watched the latest episode of Revenge and tried to speculate on the last three episodes of the season.
Ash and Casey recommended I should watch Pretty Little Liars. Season 1 aired when I was in Oregon and I enjoyed it a lot but I never checked on the following seasons. They passed me the whole lot, though, and I don't think I will be depressed after the end of Revenge this way.
