Day #112

Day started off pretty early with a Skype call from one of my best friends in my hometown, talked for about an hour and a half before it got too late in Italy and my stomach started growling for breakfast. It's so nice talking to people back home :)

I spent the rest of the day reading and drinking hot beverages - tea, coffee, milk and chocolate. 

At six something, Casey and Alex picked me up and the three of us went to the Dendy Cinema down at Portside Wharf to watch The Hangover - Part III.
Of course I was expecting something different from the first two movies, they as much as promised us that. There where some hilarious scenes, but what I liked the most about this one was all the sneaky little - and not so little - references to the previous movies. I liked how they connected them all in this last chapter.
It wasn't the best movie I've ever seen, but it was a good way to spend a couple of hours and it's not as if I didn't enjoy some Bradley Cooper on screen - he should have taken off his shirt when asked to, by the way.

Going to bed early tonight as tomorrow the day starts even earlier as I'll be down at the markets to work with Sabrina at the pasta stand.

La giornata è cominciata piuttosto presto con una chiamata su Skype da parte di una delle mie migliori amiche del mio paese. Abbiamo parlato per un'oretta e mezza fino a che non si è fatto troppo tardi in Italia e la mia pancia ha cominciato a brontolare per avere un po' di colazione. Fa sempre piacere chiacchierare con la gente a casa.
Ho passato il resto della giornata a leggere e bere bevande calde - tè, caffè, latte e cioccolato. Alle sei e qualcosa, Casey e Alex sono passati a prendermi e insieme siamo andati al Dendy Cinema, in fondo alla strada al Portside Wharf, per vedere Una Notte da Leoni 3.
Naturalmente mi aspettavo un film ben diverso dai primi due, in fondo, era quello che ci avevano promesso. Ci sono state un paio di scene che mi hanno piegata dalle risate, ma quello che ho apprezzato maggiormente sono state le piccole citazioni e i riferimenti ai film precedenti. Mi piace che li abbiano collegati tutti e tre in quest'ultimo.
Ovviamente non è stato il miglior film che abbia mai visto, ma è stato un buon modo di passare un paio d'ore e non è che non abbia apprezzato tutto questo Bradley Cooper sullo schermo - avrebbe dovuto togliersi la maglietta quando glielo hanno chiesto, però! ahah

Vado a letto presto questa sera, perché domani devo svegliarmi ancora prima di oggi dato che devo andare giù al mercato a lavorare alla bancarella della pasta con Sabrina.
