The lady at the counter saw I had the same title twice and thought I was confused, which I wasn't, took both my books, thus confounding me for real, and then handed me back the right book. Only that the book she gave me was not the right one. She had given me back the same book I was returning. But I only found out about it yesterday, when I got an email that said I had to pay the fine for not returning the book on time.
I was furious. Especially because the lady had treated me as if I didn't know what I was doing AND because thanks to her I had to go back to the library again this week, instead of just going the next. As the Grumpy Cat on Twitter once said, 'Some people deserve a high five. In the face. With a chair'.
I saw the movie Struck by Lightning today. The screenplay has been written by Chris Colfer, Kurt Hummel in Glee. It was nice, I enjoyed it. I knew about the plot, but when the actual lightning struck I had no idea it'd be like that! Some lines are really good, I loved the many puns Chris' character used and the overall ironic foreshadowing he came up with in the script.I will go to bed now, because I feel terribly sleepy. Not before getting a glass of water, though. Had dinner with Paolo and Martina early this evening. They cooked - I offered tomatoes and later peaches - and they both love black pepper. Thirstyyyy. Tasted awesome, of course.
Due giorni fa sono andata in biblioteca. Dovevo riportare Il Seggio Vacante, dato che il prestito mi durava solo una settimana. Quando sullo scafale ne ho trovata un'altra copia, ho deciso di prendere quella, di modo che fosse più semplice per i bibliotecari. Quando mai.
La tizia al bancone, mi ha visto con lo stesso titolo due volte e ha pensato che fossi confusa, cosa che ovviamente NON ero, mi ha preso i due libri e se lì è portati con sé alla sua postazione. Della serie, se non ero confusa un attimo fa, ora lo sono. Comunque mi ha dato il libro giusto e io sono uscita. Solo dopo si è scoperto che il libro non era quello giusto, ma lo stesso che stavo riportando quel giorno. E come me ne sono accorta, vi chiederete? Mi è arrivata una mail che mi diceva che dovevo pagare la multa per il libro con cui ero in ritardo con la consegna.
Ero furibonda. Soprattutto per il modo condiscendente con cui questa mi aveva parlato l'altro giorno, come se la stupida che non sapeva quello che stava facendo fossi io! Bè, ora grazie a lei sono dovuta ritornare per la seconda volta in tre giorni in biblioteca, invece che andare solo settimana prossima. Come una volta ha scritto Grumpy Cat - un gatto particolarmente sarcastico e misantropo - su Twitter 'Certa gente si meriterebbe proprio un cinque. Sulla faccia. Con una sedia'.
Oggi ho visto Struck By Lightning, Colpito da un Fulmine, basato sulla sceneggiatura di Chris Colfer, ai più noto per il ruolo di Kurt Hummel in Glee. È stato carino, mi è piaciuto. Avevo letto della trama, ma quando il vero e proprio fulmine è arrivato, sono rimasta comunque scioccata! Alcune delle battute erano molto divertenti, soprattutto ho adorato i giochi di parole del personaggio di Chris e la sottile ironia degli accenni agli eventi futuri.
Ora vado a letto, ma non prima di essermi bevuta un bicchierone di acqua. Oggi ho cenato con Paolo e Martina. Hanno cucinato loro - io ho solo fornito prima pomodori e poi pesche - e entrambi amano il pepe!!! Ho seteeeeeee. La cena è stata deliziosa, ovviamente.
