One week ago I was landing at Brisbane International Airport.
I went to the library here in Hamilton today. Unlike in the Maldives, I brought here with me only my copy of The Hunger Games and the recently acquired The Fault in Our Stars. Useless to say I've finished them both, and in need of something else. Of course I'm already working on the pdf of Catching Fire, but that doesn't really make up for paper and ink.
Besides at the library I'll be able to print out my CVs - which clearly I've postponed doing till now. Claire says I'm doing all right, that I'm completely on schedule and that I can afford to spend these afternoons reading like a mad woman - ok, she didn't exactly say that.
I might also start a food calendar like my gran does every summer, just to be sure I do not buy too much stuff and let it rotten.. I'll let you know how that goes.
Una settimana fa stavo atterrando all'Aeroporto Internazionale di Brisbane.
Sono andata alla biblioteca che c'è qui a Hamilton oggi. Al contrario di quello che ho fatto alle Maldive, questa volta mi sono portata dietro solo la mia fedelissima copia di Hunger Games e il recente nuovo acquisto di La Colpa delle Stelle. Inutile dire che ho finito già entrambi e che ho bisogno di qualcosa di nuovo. Naturalmente mi sono già messa all'opera sul pdf che ho di La Ragazza di Fuoco, il sequel di HG, ma non è la stessa cosa che avere un libro in mano.
Poi, in biblioteca potrò stampare il mio curriculum, cosa che ho rimandato fino ad ora. Claire dice che va bene così, che rientro completamente nei tempi e che posso permettermi di passare questi pomeriggi leggendo come una pazza - ok, non ha detto proprio così, ma diamo spazio alla libera interpretazione..
Credo che inizierò anche un calendario su cui pianificare cosa mangiare sul modello di quello che fa mia nonna ogni estate, per regolarmi quando faccio la spesa. Altrimenti c'è il rischio di prendere troppe robe e lasciarle andare a male.. Vi faccio sapere come va a finire.
